Why is binge watching so satisfying for many of us?
- Time is not equally distributed - people can control what time they can watch TV and for how long. Regular television does not allow that.
- Inexpensive - for a small monthly subscription fee, users have access to practically any full TV series without extra costs.
- "Escape" - people (especially college students) can take their minds off daily stresses and become submerged in a completely different world.
- Complete story immersion - viewers can get to know the characters personally and the full plot of a TV show by watching for several hours at a time.
